The database page for John Eugene Reynolds
John was a very best friend of mine, who communicated with me in detail while he was in Vietnam. We were closer than friends, but only shared a kiss.... We had plans for the future, however he was 18 years old and I was 17 before he was drafted. I may say, I lost the best friend in my life ... through this war.

Looking through the pages of my old home town one of the first things that caught my eye was the dedication to a young United States Marine who was killed in Vietnam. First and foremost what caught my eye was this man's name. I went to Linesville to school and was friends with some of his relatives. Shirley was a couple years older than me and Nata, who I was very fond of along with the other Junior High cheerleaders. I miss the old friends and am proud to say that I was a United States Marine who served for 20 years and retired with the Emblem of the finest fighting force in the world. To you, John: I am proud to say that I knew your relatives and know that you did not die in vain. SEMPER FIDELIS
