A Note from The Virtual Wall D Company, 1/35th Infantry, lost four men on 02 Sep 1967: SP4 Craig E. McCorkle, Mount Holly, NC PFC James R. Duncan, Fremont, CA PFC James E. Maness, Talladega Springs, AL PFC Joseph W. Thompson, Danville, VA SP4 McCorkle died by gunshot; the other three men were killed by a booby trap.
