Two men were killed in the crash of an O-1 Birddog observation aircraft - the pilot, WO Barry B. Coers of the 74th Aviation Company, and the observer, SFC Dixon T. Kinard, HQ Btry, 2/35th Artillery, from Honolulu, Hawaii.
